Voluntary Work At SPCA

This project was held with the thought of helping poor stray animals in mind. That’s the reason we planned for a visit to SPCA where they shelter poor abused animals. The SPCA was located in Ampang and the Leos took public transport from KDU College to SPCA.

Once there, the Leos started helping out the shelter by offering ourselves for volunteer work. We were split up into a few groups and then later given different tasks. Leo Aisha, Leo Li Wern and Leo Nurfarhana were assigned to clean up cat cages while Leo Benny Neoh, Leo Joshua Tan, Leo Gan Jin Ni and Leo Lim Kee Cynn were assigned to the dog cages.

After a hard time of cleaning up the cages, the jobs were finally done. It was hard work but worth all the time spent on it. The cages had a significant difference from when before we cleaned it up. We had fun playing with the dogs as well whilst we were cleaning up their cage.

This exposure to the SPCA really opened up our eyes as well as our hearts towards these animals. We were planning on having a funding project to benefit the SPCA so that the funds can go towards the poor animals.
