Food Distribution at HOPE Clinic & Kids’ Project

This project was organized to benefit the poor and needy families from the squatter areas of Sentul. There were 150 families who turn up. We gave out food provision to 70 registered families- items such as (Rice, oil, biscuits, sugar, Milo, cans food). There were 80 families who are not registered and we gave whatever food we have to them. OC Leo Lim Kee Cynn drove in RM2000+ sponsorship to buy approximately 160 packets of 5KG rice for the low income and poor families. Other goods were generously sponsored by Persatuan Kebajikan HOPE worldwide KL and other companies.

Itinerary for the day:

1.30pm Arrival of the families/Food

2.00pm Set up & Arrangement

2.15pm-4.00pm Start to distribute food

2.30pm-4.45pm Children activities start as the parents receiving the food

5.00pm End

There were about 50 children from the families who turn up for the activities. Fun activities such as games with passing balloon, singing with clapping song and chairs sitting games were designed for the children.

KDU Leos had lots of fun in this project. This project also marked our first move in reaching out to the children in the squatter areas. It exposes us to a totally new experience by helping the needy families in the squatter areas of Sentul.
