COLLECTION AND SEPARATION OF RECYCABLE ITEMS

No. of Leos hours : 3 Leos X 3 hours = 9 hours
Leos of KDU PJ has organized a team of helpers to help in the work of collection and separation of recyclable items. The venue was a centre where everyone brings their recyclable items in exchange of money.
Transport to this place was provided by Leo Bon Siong Hooi. We divided ourselves into 2 groups so that the work of collecting and separating recyclable items can be done more efficiently. To explain, Leo Loretta helped out with the work of classifying and separating different types of paper, while Leo Joshua and Leo Siong Hooi were doing the work of collection and separation of papers, plastic, cupboard, newspaper, glass, aluminum etc.
The main objective of this activity is to help out in improving the quality of our environment whilst encouraging the habit of recycling amongst our community.
This project carries with it a vivid mission of preserving and conserving the vital and limited resources of our earth.
Leos of KDU PJ has also make arrangement to do this project on collection and separation of recyclable items regularly so that a long-term benefit can be felt within our community and also to encourage them to have such recycling habit. Each visit, our club would organize a team of 2-4 members to carry out this project.
